In Their Own Story

The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime, revealing the polished marble of the lobby. Winston stood behind the bar, polishing a glass, his eyes fixed on the entrance. Santino waited in the shadows, armed and expecting allies. Instead, he found only silence and the man who had come to settle debts. As the first shot rang out, echoing off the high ceilings, Winston did not reach for a weapon. He simply watched the balance of power shift, knowing that some debts must be paid in blood, even on sacred ground.
